YIPEEE!!!! I now have this HUGE weight off of my shoulders. Brad and I offically have off for the next few months. I survived my first school year as a working mom. Hats off to those other working moms out there. I have a new found appreciation for ya'll!!!! We look forward to many days at the beach, the pool or just having fun where ever the day may lead us. We are excited to be able to go on three vacations this summer with family and friends. Kylee will be celebrating her first birthday in July, I can't believe it!!!!!!
We have been so busy these past few months......
Brad and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary!!!!! It has been 7 glorious years. The growth we have experiencd in our marriage has been outstanding. The love we have shared has been incredible. Our journey continues day by day and oh what an exciting journey we have been on and continue to be on............
Alice (Brad's mom) retired from work this week. This is such a wonderful blessing as she will be keeping Kylee next school year. I can't begin to express how special this will be for Kylee to have her Nana all to herself.
We threw Alice a surprise retirement party. Her co-workers got Chic-fi-la for lunch and Adrin, Brad, Kylee and I ordered a Jamie's cake!!!!!
We have season passes to Ocean Breeze water park and have enjoyed time there during this recent heat wave.
Now, that we have some time off we will be putting up many gates through out the house. Kylee is a little monkey now and climbing up EVERYTHING and cruising on furniture. EXHAUSTING!!!!
Kylee and I got to keep Sydney (my girlfriend's daugther) and boy did we enjoy her!!!!
Brad is looking forward to some nice R&R this summer.....he has to gear up for his new adventure in the fall!!! Brad and his principal have decided to pilot a trial classroom. He will be teaching 5th grade next school year with all boys. Va Beach school system does not have a classroom like this in all of the district. This is an exciting opportunity for him to show off some "theories" he has for making the classroom a better learning environment.
I am doing some minimal work this summer at a neuro-rehab center in the city and look forward to this change of pace in patients versus pediatrics. I plan on returning to work 3 days a week next year.
Most importantly we look forward to enjoying each other and our precious girl. I am so thankful our jobs give us this time off. We hope to catch up with many of ya'll. Continue to check out our blog to read all about our summer memories!!!!!!
